RAID 0 Data Recovery

RAID 0 Data Recovery

When a company needs fast reading and writing of data onto its system, then RAID 0 would be the best solution for them.  The biggest problem with RAID 0 is, if one hard drive fails, then one loses access to the data since portions of the data are stripped accross all hard drives.

Most companies that require fast read/write use a hybred called RAID 10, this is two RAID 0s, which are mirrored, so if one drive fails the data is still accessable.

At Gefund-IT Datenrettung we understand that you have a very large problem if someone configured your system as a RAID 0 with out appropriate backup scheme.  Now you are on the line to get the company back online.

Through our years of training, experience and high sucess rate we offer you the best solution in the industry.

We are so good that when an employee sabotaged all data systems and backups we were able to reconstruct all RAID servers and backup servers, get the data to the customer, identify the date, time and computer which started the sabotage action, which ultimately turned the tables on the Sabator.

Give us a call now at 0791-49 39 04 98 and talk with the owner of the company about how we can recover your data as fast as possible.

RAID 0: Striping
Acceleration without redundancy

RAID 0 lacks redundancy.

RAID 0 offers increased transfer rates by dividing the participating hard disks into contiguous blocks of equal size, whereby these blocks are arranged to form one large hard disk, as it were, using the zipper method. Thus, accesses can be performed on all disks in parallel. However, if one of the hard disks fails due to a defect, the RAID controller can no longer reconstruct the user data without their partial data.

Data recovery from proprietary RAID 0 formats

Some manufacturers of storage and NAS systems have developed customer-friendly and efficient RAID 0 configurations, which, however, have a slightly different structure with regard to standardized RAID levels. What is convenient and practical for the user can become a particular challenge in case of data loss. Due to many years of experience, Gefund-IT is very familiar with most manufacturer-specific RAID systems and their professional recovery.

Some examples of manufacturer-specific RAID 0 configurations are

  • Drobo BeyondRAID Technology
  • LaCie SimplyRAID
  • QNAP RAID
  • Snap Server Dynamic RAID
  • Synology Hybrid RAID
  • Western Digital MyCloud

Which data do we save?

  • Failure of individual hard disks, e.g. due to overheating in the server, mechanical damage during transport, voltage peaks due to faults in the electrical system or after a lightning strike
  • Data formats of all operating systems like MacOS, Windows, Linux, DOS, etc.
  • Data recovery on virtual systems like Hyper-V or VMware
  • Faulty recovery; initialized and performed by the RAID controller
  • Error message: RAID Offline/ Critical
  • Error message: RAID degraded
  • Corrupt database files like SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Dbase, Oracle, Filemaker, Access, MS Exchange
  • RAID group accidentally disbanded: mostly due to faulty administration
  • All file types such as images, office documents, videos, databases, CAD drawings
  • Typical RAID error messages

We can help our customers with the following data recoveries:

There are many ways to configure a RAID array or RAID storage server. If you are working with a Failed RAID array, you need to be careful how you handle it.

What usually happens is that a drive fails, but nobody will notice because the data is still available. Then at some point another drive fails and the data is no longer available. In a panic, the person responsible for the data storage tries to get the RAID online, but in the panic they start moving drives to force the RAID to rebuild or replace hard drives to get the RAID running again. Any of these procedures can lead to data corruption and complicate recovery.

So if you have a problem with the following RAID systems, call Gefund-IT Data Recovery immediately at 0791-49 39 04 98 and we will get your data back!
