RAID 0: Striping
Acceleration without redundancy

RAID 0 lacks redundancy.

RAID 0 offers increased transfer rates by dividing the participating hard disks into contiguous blocks of equal size, whereby these blocks are arranged to form one large hard disk, as it were, using the zipper method. Thus, accesses can be performed on all disks in parallel. However, if one of the hard disks fails due to a defect, the RAID controller can no longer reconstruct the user data without their partial data.

Data recovery from proprietary RAID 0 formats

Some manufacturers of storage and NAS systems have developed customer-friendly and efficient RAID 0 configurations, which, however, have a slightly different structure with regard to standardized RAID levels. What is convenient and practical for the user can become a particular challenge in case of data loss. There are many ways to configure a RAID array or RAID storage server. If you are working with a Failed RAID array, you need to be careful how you handle it.
